Mercy Athletics proudly recognized Ainsley Henderson as the recipient of the 3rd Annual Tony Scalzi Spirit of a Marlin Award.

Named in honor of longtime Mercy teacher, mentor, and supporter Tony Scalzi, the award recognizes a student who embodies the loyalty, kindness, generosity, dedication, and school spirit that defined Tony's 33 years of service to Mercy High School.

Henderson has been an outstanding representative of Mercy Athletics throughout her high school career. She spent two years as a member of the varsity soccer team and four years with the Mercy golf program, helping contribute to three MHSAA State Championship teams during her time as a Marlin.

Beyond athletics, Henderson has made a lasting impact across the Mercy community through her positivity, selflessness, and willingness to support others. Whether cheering from the stands, volunteering behind the scenes, or encouraging her peers, she consistently demonstrated the spirit and pride that define Mercy Athletics.

Her leadership, enthusiasm, and genuine care for others made her a natural choice for an award that celebrates service, community, and the true spirit of being a Marlin.
