Farmington Hills Mercy celebrated a historic day by winning state championships in both volleyball and swimming, marking the third time in school history (2019 & 2023) that the Marlins have captured two state titles on the same day. At Kellogg Arena, Mercy volleyball secured the Division 1 crown with a 25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20 victory, finishing a 44-6-1 season with a dominant defensive performance that included 14 blocks and key contributions across the lineup. The Marlins closed the match on a 9–2 run, highlighted by 16 kills and 12 digs from junior outside hitter Kate Kalczynski, 13 kills from Ella Andrews, 12 kills from Cree Hollier, and a 44-assist, 11-dig effort from freshman setter Kaelyn Easton. Meanwhile, at Eastern Michigan University, Mercy Swim & Dive captured its third straight Division 2 state championship with 337 points. The title was clinched in the final event when the relay team of Avery Tack, Campbell Shore, Lyla Collins, and Ella Hafner won the 400-meter relay in 3:26.05 to edge Grosse Pointe South. The championship marked the program's 14th overall and sixth under head coach Michael Venos. Mercy added strong individual performances, including Hafner's Division 2 record in the 500 freestyle prelims and Tack's victory in the 200 IM. Together, these accomplishments cemented an extraordinary day for the Marlins and added another milestone to Mercy's storied athletic tradition.
