Mercy High School honors a graduating senior Scholar-Athlete(s) each school year with the Garn Griffin Award. The Garn Griffin Award is named after Mr. Griffin who was a zealous supporter of Mercy Athletics. He was a high school and college athlete, a Mercy parent and the husband of a former Mercy staff member. This award honors an outstanding athlete who has a solid academic record, has demonstrated leadership, is an athlete that has been well recognized for their athletic achievements and whose overall character and good sportsmanship is consistent with Mercy Mission and Values.
