11/15/2024 3:08:00 PM

Campbell Flynn, a senior at Mercy High School, has been named the 2024 Miss Volleyball by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association, capping off a remarkable high school career. The announcement, made as a surprise to the star athlete, cements her legacy as one of the most accomplished volleyball players in the state. This award adds to an already impressive list of accomplishments including being named the 2023 Gatorade Michigan Volleyball player of the year. She is also a U19 and U21 Team USA member, having played in numerous international competitions, including winning gold at the U21 NORCECA Continental Championship.

Flynn played a pivotal role in Mercy Volleyball's 2023 state championship win in their come-from-behind reverse sweep in the championship game. In her senior season, she helped lead the team to their first CHSL Championship since 2019 and their third consecutive District Championship. She ended the season with an impressive stat sheet, including 730 assists, 188 digs, 131 kills, 36 aces, and 52 blocks.

She has committed to continuing her academic and athletic career at the volleyball powerhouse, the University of Nebraska. Graduating early in December, she will begin her journey with the Cornhuskers in January.

Campbell's Miss Volleyball win places her among an elite group of Mercy Volleyball alumni. She is the fourth player from the school to earn this prestigious award, joining previous winners from Julia Bishop (2020), Jess Mruzik (2019), and Maddy Doyle (2011). This continued excellence highlights Mercy's reputation as a Michigan high school volleyball powerhouse.
