Mercy Track & Field wrapped up its season at the MHSAA State Finals with strong performances across multiple events.

Freshman Maggie Kandt '29 earned All State honors with a sixth-place finish in the shot put. Kandt also competed in discus, finishing 10th in the state.

In the 800 meter run, Nora Gerzema '26 recorded a season-best performance to finish 16th. Libby Gerzema '28 also delivered a strong race, setting a personal record while placing 22nd.

Mercy was represented in the high jump by JJ Lukas '29 and Emily Cuthbertson '26, who tied for 12th place.

The Marlins' 4x800 relay team of Ainslie Carter '28, Libby Gerzema '28, Nora Gerzema '26, and Clare Hafner '26 finished 12th in the state.

JJ Lukas '29 also competed in the 300 meter hurdles, placing 19th overall.

The state finals appearance capped another successful season for Mercy Track & Field, highlighted by strong performances from a talented group of athletes.
