In a packed house at Mercy with a spirited student section, #1 ranked Mercy Volleyball swept Catholic League rivals Marian 25-14, 25-15, and 25-22 in their only meeting of the regular season. The Marlins won the first two sets relatively easily but found themselves down 10-4 in the beginning of the third set before rallying to win the match in straight sets.
The Marlins were led by senior standout and Nebraska commit
Campbell Flynn '25, who helped lead the offense with 35 assists and eight digs.
Kate Kalczynski '27 led the team in kills with 17, adding eight digs and four aces.
Ella Andrews, '26, and CreeHollier, '26, each had six kills. Jillian Collins '25 added three aces to the stat sheet as the Marlins went on 8-0 run to close out the first set.
Mercy is next in action this weekend at the East vs West Invitational. Their next Catholic League match is September 25 at Toledo St. Ursula.
