Mercy High School senior Campbell Flynn was honored as the 2025 DAC Foundation Female Athlete of the Year, recognizing her excellence in athletics, academics, and community service. One of the most decorated high school athletes in the country, Flynn was also named the Gatorade National Volleyball Player of the Year, Michigan Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year, and Michigan Miss Volleyball. The prestigious DAC award was presented at the annual Detroit Athletic Club Foundation banquet, where standout athletes from across the state were celebrated.
Flynn, a nationally ranked volleyball player, has had a remarkable high school career. She helped lead Mercy Volleyball to its second state championship in 2023 and was named the Gatorade National Volleyball Player of the Year. Flynn also represented Team USA in international play, winning gold with the U19 national team at the FIVB World Championship and later competing with the U21 team at the FIVB U21 World Championship.
Off the court, Flynn has demonstrated a deep commitment to her community, volunteering with PB&J Ministries, the Salvation Army, and coaching youth volleyball. She has maintained a 3.94 GPA while balancing her academic and athletic responsibilities. Flynn will continue her volleyball career at the University of Nebraska.
Flynn concluded her senior season with 730 assists, 188 digs, 131 kills, 52 blocks, and 36 aces, leading Mercy to a 31-3 record and a Division 1 regional semifinal appearance. She finishes her high school career with 1,973 assists and 737 kills, and is ranked the No. 4 recruit in the Class of 2025 by PrepDig.com.
Also nominated for the 2025 DAC Foundation Female Athlete of the Year was fellow Mercy senior Kaitlyn Pallozzi, a dominant force on the softball mound. Pallozzi, a standout pitcher, has been instrumental in the Marlins' recent success and was recognized for her leadership and athletic impact.
Together, Flynn and Pallozzi represented the strength and talent of Mercy Athletics, earning well-deserved recognition among Michigan's top female athletes.
