Mercy standout swimmer Avery Tack '27 made history at the CHSL Championship Prelims on Friday, breaking the Catholic League record in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Tack posted a time of 1:04.76, edging out the previous record of 1:04.86 set in 2021 by just one-tenth of a second. Her record-setting swim helped set the tone for Mercy's dominant weekend at the league championships.

The performance adds to an already impressive season for Tack, who continues to be a key contributor to Mercy Swim & Dive's success.
