Grace Kim '26 has been named a 2025-26 MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award Finalist, a prestigious academic and athletic honor presented by Farm Bureau Insurance.

She is one of 120 finalists selected from a competitive pool of 1,438 applicants across the state of Michigan. Grace is now in contention for one of 12 scholarships to be awarded to Class A student athletes, six female and six male, each of whom will receive a $2,000 scholarship.

A two sport athlete, Grace competes for Mercy in both cross country and track and field.

The MHSAA Scholar Athlete Award program recognizes high school seniors who excel in both the classroom and on the field. Finalists are selected based on athletic achievement, academic excellence (minimum 3.5 GPA), community involvement, letters of recommendation, and a personal essay on the role of sportsmanship in educational athletics.

The Class A scholarship winners will be announced on February 17.
