Mercy Varsity Soccer delivered a dominant 7–0 shutout over Garden City in the MHSAA District Semifinals, advancing to the District Final with momentum and confidence. The Marlins entered the match with a 7–5–6 record, while Garden City came with an 18–4–1 record.

Addison Cervenan led the offensive charge with a hat trick, while Brianna Mikha added two goals. Elizabeth Stachelek and Sofia Finelli each chipped in one goal apiece. Mercy's attack was fueled by strong ball movement, with assists from Ruby Tobar (2), Arielle Etue (2), Brianna Mikha, Addison Cervenan, and Brynn Reichert.

Defensively, Jordan LeVasseur kept a clean sheet with three saves to help seal the shutout.

Mercy now advances to the MHSAA District Final, where they will take on CHSL rival Birmingham Marian on Friday, May 30 at 4:30 p.m. at Cranbrook-Kingswood.
