Mercy Track & Field had a record-breaking day at the MHSAA Regionals, highlighted by the 4x800 relay team setting a new school record by an impressive 9 seconds. The team, made up of Nora Gerzema ('26), Clare Hafner ('26), Elizabeth Gerzema ('28), and Ainslie Carter ('28) surpassed the previous mark set in 2021.

Nora Gerzema also broke her own school record in the 800m at the Oakland County Championships, a record she originally set in 2023.

The performances mark a standout moment in the season as the Marlins continue their postseason push.
