John Carter has a passion for mid and long-distance running. He was a team captain in high school, is a member of the Northville Running Club, and has participated in numerous endurance races (half marathons, marathons, mountain bike races, etc.).
He has a passion for helping young athletes develop a love of running and reach their goals.
John serves as a coach at Our Lady of Victory Cross Country (CYO Champions - '21, '22, '23), Our Lady of Sorrows Track and Field (CYO Champions - '22, '24 and 2nd Place at the '24 Megastar State Meet), and the Michigan Cougars Track and Cross Country Club (16 All Americans at CCYNC Nationals).
John is a graduate of The University of Michigan, The University of Notre Dame, and Duke University.
Professionally, John is a Partner at Slalom Consulting and serves on the Northville City Council. He is excited to support the Mercy Track and Field Team as a part-time volunteer distance coach.
